How to role out Conferendum on your forum:
|
It is totally up to you how you want to organize your forum to achieve the best possible results, which is having a lot of users offering live online-classes and having many users joining those online events. This document only aims to give you some ideas of how you could do it.
|
|
1) Set up an area on your platform dedicated for posting online-classes:
In order to keep a certain organization on your forum, you could set up and define an area where users can post their offerings. This area could simply be a new thread. You could have one dedicated thread for all topics of your forum. If your forum is organized in different topics you could have a thread for each topic dedicated for posting online-classes.
If you think that this does not have to be so organized you could allow your members to post online-teaching offerings wherever they want.
2) Promote Conferendum to your members:
It is again up to you to find the best way to inform and encourage your members to offer their knowledge via interactive online-sessions and have other members joining these events. You might want to inform the members of your community via e-mail about the new partnerships and the possibilities that users have using Conferendum in combination with your platform. You can also post this information on a visible place on your platform. The only requirement we have is that you link to our website at www.conferendum.com and directly to the trainer registration form at www.conferendum.com/trainer/?registertrainer.
You can also approach the most active members of your forum separately encouraging them to offer their knowledge via a Conferendum online-event. The more active a member of your platform is the more likely it is that he will go for it.
What is a non-profit event?
The trainer can set the price for his online-class himself. The minimum is 0.01 € ($) per minute or 1 € ($) per event. This represents exactly the minimum service fee Conferendum is charging to run the conferencing system. For a non-profit event, the participants have to pay only the minimum fee of 1 cent/minute which is 5 hours of conferencing for the minimum upload amount of 3 € ($). The trainers account does not get any credit for such an event. As a partner you get always your 20% revenue share, even for a non-profit event.
What about the community spirit?
If you want to assure that the community idea on your portal stays more important than any commercialization you can define your own rules for you forum. You can e.g. allow only non-profit events on your forum, or you can set the rule that on your forum nobody is allowed to charge more than 5 cents / minute for an online-seminar etc.
How can you enforce these rules?
As a forum you can track very precisely who is posting which kind of conferences on your forum by having a look on the registration links the trainer uses to offer his online-lecture.The registration links are always built in the same way and you can get some information from it.
Let’s look at an example:
Trainer ID e.g. T85R: The alphanumeric code between the slash and the hyphen is always the unique trainer ID. You can identify the trainer by this code. If a trainer is not respecting your rules you can easily search for all his offerings and delete them if you wish too.
Price Info e.g. 5M...: After the hyphen the registration link always shows a number which is the price of the event in cents. After the number you find either the letter M or the letter E. "M" stands for minutes, which means that this event is priced on a per minute basis. "E" stands for event which means that this session is priced on a per event basis.
Examples:
.../?REG/T65R-5MA22Z1NFF - Trainer T65R, 5 cents per minute
.../?REG/V85B-200E221VNFG - Trainer V85B, 2 € per event
Why does my application need to be verified?
When you register your platform at www.conferendu.com/partner/?registerpartner please provide as much accurate information as possible. We need to verify that you are indeed the owner or authorised to register the platform. When you register, you will receive a login and a password for your personal partner portal. You will see, that at the beginning your status is "Not verified", which means that conferences that might already be posted on your forum are not yet tracked by Conferendum. A Conferendum team member will contact you by phone or e-mail to verify the information you provided. Only when your status changes to "Verified" your revenue share starts to be effective.
What is the personal partner portal?
On your personal partner portal you can track live how much revenue you have already generated with the Conferendum Partnership Program. You can see how many users have registered for which events and how many trainers have registered for Conferendum via the link posted on your forum.
