No, all Conferendum Products are browser based and run without installation.

Conferendum runs on a Java Plug-in of your internet browser. If you don’t have Java and you don’t have administrator rights to install it, you can download an .exe file to start a conference. The .exe file is executed without installation and you don’t need administrator rights on your PC to run it.

As a conference leader you can pass and withdraw speaking rights to a participant by clicking on his or her picture. Please watch the short tutorial video Conference Management.

How can I present documents?

With Conferendum it’s very easy to present documents at a meeting. Click on “Show presentation” and choose the file format you want to use to present. How does screen sharing work?

With screen sharing you can present your entire screen or parts of your screen to all participants. By doing so everybody can see which operations you are performing on your screen. Just click on “Show presentation” and then on “Share full screen” or “Share application”. A preview window indicates to you what the participants are seeing. While you are presenting your screen you can also allow other participants to access and work directly on your PC. To grant remote control access click on “Screen sharing options” and then on “Controlled by moderators” or on “Controlled by all speakers” to allow all moderators or all speakers to work on your PC. You can withdraw those access rights by clicking on “Show screen only” under the “Screen sharing options” menu. Please watch the short tutorial video Screen sharing.

How can I run conferences in several languages?

Conferendum allows you to simultaneously translate conferences into several languages. You can define a participant as a translator for a specific language which creates a virtual translation room. The translator can hear everything from the main conference room in his headphones and can translate it simultaneously by speaking directly into his microphone. In the translation room only the voice of the translator can be heard. With the Conferendum translation feature you can easily translate large conferences in as many languages as you want without any expensive hardware. Please watch the short tutorial video Translation rooms.

How can I run a survey in a meeting?

In a Conferendum Meeting you can run polls and surveys to get a quick overview of the audience opinion regarding certain questions. You can just ask your question verbally as e.g. “Do you want me to repeat this chapter?”. Then click on Polls & Surveys and then on “Start quick poll”. The participants can answer with “Yes”, “No” or “Neutral”. The results are visible to all participants. You can also prepare extended surveys with the Conferendum survey editor and launch the survey at any time during the conference. Please watch the short tutorial video Polls & Surveys.
